2/26/09 - Horizon Hobby has issued a product recall against Spektrum DX6i transmitters with specific date codes. The complete recall notice can be found on the Horizon Hobby website at this address: http://www.horizonhobby.com/Articles/Article.aspx?ArticleID=1901 It is strongly recommended that club members who own/ operate this type of transmitter test the stick potentiometers in accordance with the associated service bulletin dated January 30, 2009 (accessible from the link above). Additionally those transmitters with the suspect date codes highlighted by the recall notice should be returned for inspection and repair. To avoid any potential for loss of control these actions should be accomplished before further use of the transmitter.- Roy Thompson, PVRCC Safety Officer 2/1/08- Futaba 6EX, 7C and TM-7 Service Advisory. From Futaba - "Recently we have learned that a very small number of the TM-7 modules, and 6EX and 7C FASST systems were incorrectly coded with a common code number during the manufacturing process. If two or more units, utilizing this common identification code, were to be in use simultaneously, they may cause interference with one another." All users of this system need to read the Service Advisory and check their equipment before flying. |
